Types of Facial Masks and their Benefits
Face masks are often used to provide nutrition to facial skin while cleansing the face of dirt and dead skin. There are many choices of facial masks that can be used to treat and nourish facial skin, including:

1. Sheet mask
A sheet mask in the form of a tissue or cotton sheet with holes in the eyes, nose and lips. Sheet mask is very good for those of you who have dry skin, although all skin types can also get benefits by wearing it.

How to use it is also easy. You simply attach this face mask to the skin after washing your face, then leave it for 15-20 minutes so that the content can soak into the skin.

After removing the mask , apply the remaining liquid left on the skin to the entire surface of the face while gently massaging. You can even rub it on the neck or other body parts, because the liquid contains serum that can moisturize the skin.

After wearing a sheet mask , the skin will feel cooler and moisturized. You don't need to rinse your face after using the sheet mask .

2. Clay mask
Clay mask is a type of face mask made from clay with mineral content that is beneficial for the skin. Generally, the basic ingredients of clay mask are kaolin and bentonite.

After washing your face and drying it, you can apply a clay mask to the entire face, then wait for a while until the face mask dries. After that, you can clean this face mask with a towel or facial sponge that has been dipped in warm water.

Some of the benefits of clay mask are absorbing oil from the skin, cleanse the skin from dirt and dead skin cells, and overcome and prevent the appearance of zits and blackheads. Pimples and blackheads are problems that are often experienced by owners of oily skin , because the pores are blocked by excess dirt and oil.

This type of face mask can be used 1-2 times a week for people who have oily skin types. In people who have dry skin type , facial masks made from clay should be limited to use no more than 1 time a week so that facial skin is not drier.

3. Mud mask
Mud mask is a mud-based face mask that contains a variety of minerals. This type of face mask is usually processed from sea mud or volcanic ash mud.

Peel off mask is not recommended for owners of sensitive skin , because the peel off process can make the skin sore and irritated.

5. Wash off mask
This type of mask can be a cream, gel, or powder dissolved in water. As the name implies, the wash off mask is used by applying it to the skin, then rinsing it with warm water.

Before choosing a wash off mask , first consider the ingredients. The content of salicylic acid, glycolic acid, sulfur, and charcoal in masks is more suitable for oily skin. While facial masks with ingredients hyaluronic acid , shea butter , aloe vera, or cucumber are more suitable for dry skin.

Sleeping mask can moisturize the skin better than the night cream which is more volatile. In addition, sleeping mask is also considered more capable of absorbing into the skin.

In addition to the various types of masks above, facial skin masks can also be made from natural ingredients , such as eggs, honey, oatmeal or wheat, fruits, spirulina, to tea and coffee.

When using any type of face mask, avoid the eyes and lips area. Avoid using masks beyond the recommended time because it can make the skin become dry and irritated.
